Genealogy and Family History Services
I'm Lisa Minogue. I was in the software industry for 30 years. After that, I spent 6 years teaching computer science at the college level. I've been researching my own family history since the 1990s. I completed the National Genealogical Society "Advanced Skills in Genealogy" class in 2023. I regularly attend conferences and classes to keep my skills up-to-date.
I enjoyed presenting at the 2025 North Star Genealogy Conference. I Hope to see you next year!
Whether you need in-depth research skills or simply need documents from Minnesota repositories, I can help. I have extensive experience researching in the midwest and eastern states and eastern Canada. I have also done research in Ireland, England, Wales and the Czech Republic (Bohemia).
I can mentor you in popular tools (Family Tree Maker, Legacy Family Tree, Ancestry, FamilySearch, etc). I can also help you get started doing your own research. And if you have gotten started, but don't know what do next, I can offer some suggestions and advice.
My presentations include: "The Lay of the Land: Using Deeds to Solve Genealogical Problems" and "Did Grandpa Live on a Freeway? Digitally Merging Old and New Maps." I can also create new presentations - let me know what topics you're interested in.
Send an email to research@mapletreegen.com with a short description of your needs and I'll get back to you within a couple of days to discuss further.
